Ice storms effects on turkey habitat
We had a major ice storm come through a few weeks ago and it put thousands of trees and limbs all over the ground. It is so bad in some areas, you can't even walk through certain areas without weaving all around the tops and downed trees. I have been scouting and listening for birds but haven't located very many. The public land that I am hunting is 95% timber, so not many open areas. Almost all of the open areas are by the roads.
Have any of you experienced this and how does it affect the birds and their movements.
Thanks.

I'm not far from you and the woods in S.E. Mo are terrible. There won't be alot of sneaking this year. Woods look like a bomb has went off, but I am still hearing gobblers.
