i believei would start with the primos jellyhead, kicks,or rhino, and then go with some type of heavy shot ...such as hevi-13,remington HD,winchester Xtended range or my favorite nitros...however i do believe the kicks choke is for lead loads where as the rest will handle all but steel..also indian creek makes an awesome choke as well..as far as shot size it's totally up to you..somewhere around a .660- .670 should do just fine..and if you go with the nitros you can get by with a more open constriction than what most people would think..i would also shoot the three inch shells as well as the three and a halfs because i have found the threes outpattern the big magnum loads very often..so i would pattern both shells..or just go straight to the threes...hope this helps and if you have any more questions i'll try and help..almost forgot to tell ya to keep in mind that no two gun-choke combos are alike so what works for me might not work for youand the same exact setup..however it should'nt be hard to pick a winner frome the above components.

Ive shot turkeys with the factory chokes without a problem. But if you really want a turkey killing machine, go get a Jellyhead choke. I use Winchester Supreme Double-X Magnums, 2.25oz 3.5" #5, pattern very well! Im gonna try Hevi-Shot this year. I hear a Jellyhead/Hevi-Shot combination is about as lethal as it gets.

Last year i use an 835 and my setup was the factory modified choke with the federal flite control wads. When i was patterning it i sent the wad past the target at 20 yards.

Something in the .670 should work fine. As for load? Lots of opinions. I've hunted turkey for decades. Most of those years with an old Savage "Fox' SBS 30" F/F and 2 3/4" "duck loads". Killed a bunch with this set up. Won a Bennelli Nova turkey gun several years back .. cammoed, handles 3 1/2" shells. I tried those shoulder busters. Short story,a 3" "turkey" load is plenty. If You want to go 3 1/2", have at it. Been there . ain't goin' back !!
Try several loads. The one that patterns best is the winner ... good luck this season.
