Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Montana Merriams

Im starting to plan my annual spring turkey trip to South Dakota and Wyoming. This year Im considering adding Montana to the mix.

In SD we hunt out of Custer, and in Wy we hunt out of Sundance. This means the Ashland, MT w/ the Custer National Forest nearby would be our best bet.

Does anyone have any experience w/ this area or other areas in Montana? We hunt public ground only.

drhntr178,

Just thought I would drop you a note; I have not turkey hunted the area in Montana you have asked but have done considerable research to Elk hunt there. Ashland appears to be a good area for Merriams.
