..I called the company of,Comp-n-choke and they said that at 40 yards,your turkey gun sould put
at least 15 pellets of no.6 shot in a three inch circle,no. 5 shot at least 13,???has any one tried
this method of pattering,i dont know if my gun will or not hope it does going to try it.....

Never used the 3" circle method. I attached a turkey picture to a large peice of poster board and aimed a couple of inches below the head. I did this four times and adjusted my aiming until the best of the pattern hit the kill zone. AT 40 yards I can put 10 pellets consistantly in the kill zone. Thats good enough for me. I guess
15 in a three inch circle sounds about right. Depends on your overall pattern, consistantcy, etc.

i use a 10" circle to pattern mine(taking into account the turkeys quick head movement) and i use 30yards to site in(more realistic hunting distance)
i am averaging 210 hits of winchester 2oz. #6' s.......don' t know for sure how that would equate to a 3" circle(well i sorta do, how about 1/10 the area i think) which would give me around 21 hits.......anyways, i am satisfied with this result.

i actually think that a 3" circle is way to ' iffy' to use. one shot could put 25 in, the next 5. you may have to go thru a box of shells just to give you an average
