Sears M300 suitable for turkey??????
I have a Sears, Ted Williams Model 300, with 2 3/4" camber and a varable choke. What load would work best? Can I get a new barrrel for this shutgun? Can I have the varable choke removed and attach a different choke( by a gun smith}?

Techie the 2 3/4"magnum is the fastest round in the woods, and carries more energy, but also carries less pellets. As long as you can get a consistent pattern, into the head and neck at 30 yards and under, you shouldnt have any problems taking turkeys. As for obtaining a aftermarket barrel for your gun,Im not sure if any would still be available, but a quick check in the Shotgun News may provide a source.Another option is to contact Mark Banshner,as he does quality choke and barrel work.Good luck! P.S. Welcome to the board!!
