can any1 that uses a 835 with the uti-full turkey choke(that comes with the gun) tell me what brand and shot size and load of shells they use to get the best patteren this gun kicks like a mule when useing the 3and 1/2 shell and thought maybe some 1 could save my shoulder and tell me what 2 try so i wont have to try so many different shells please give me something i can start with ,thanks[:

My 835 realy likes Winchester loads, regardless of chokes. But You never know try as many diferent brands as your shoulder can take.

mine likes 3.5" and 3" winchesters in #5and#6. #4' s are allright but dont pattern as well.

Our 835, with the same choke, prefers Federal Premium 3" 2 ounce #5 over all others we have tried. The same load in #6 was second, Winchester 3" 1 3/4 ounce #5 third.

I shoot Winchester HV 3.5" #4' s---but I have a Hastings choke. My Mossberg patterned well with a variety of loads and chokes.

using your exact set up, mine like winchester 3" #5 shot over anything else.. i used to use 3.5' s, but no need in going through that when the 3" patterns better!

Same as Keyshunter, I patterned mulitple shells out of my Mossberg and Federal number 5' s, 3" , 2 ounce is what it wanted.

Mine with the factory x-full shoots a great pattern with Federal 3 1/2 # 5' s. The pattern is so nice that I didn' t bother to see what shoots best. This pattern is more than good enough to get the job done, and it has!
