Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Gravel for Turkeys

The turkeys in my hunting area can often be seen getting gravel off the edges of the road. I was wondering if anyone has ever put gravel on their property for turkeys to utilize? Would it improve the habitat or is it just a waste of time? If it is not a waste of time, what size would work best for turkeys?

Sling In the winter months , Turkeys find it easyer to find gravel on road ways because of the lack of snow. After the snow has gone most times the birds can find what they need in the feeding areas....BT

I had a load of sand I was using on a building project and the turkeys really like it . There was also gravel there but they prefered the sand . We had to cover the sand to keep them out of it .
