Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

i'm sure the both the gold and the bps need a good cleaning - will definately do that.

i haven't jumped off into the hi density stuff yet, but may try the H-13 6s before too long.

with the 3" gun, i have experimented with the remington wingmaster HD waterfowl version - it's 1.375oz at 1450fps. with the jellyhead it put 103 in a 10" ring at 40. this shell actually performed better than any lead 3" i shot with the jellyhead.

the jellyhead/gold combo with a winchester HV 1.75oz #5 was in the 80s. last year when i shot the trulock .665 in the gold, i got 101 in the circle with the same shell. i have since gotten rid of this choke, but would love to see how it would do with these waterfowl HD loads.

I didn't mind experimenting with these duck loads because i got them on sell in february at wal-mart at a rediculous price, plus there is a spring rebate going on at remington for HD loads.

I have a browning gold hunter with a pattern master choke tube. When patterning my gun the other day I got 60+ pellets in a 10" at 40 yards using 3.5" 2oz high vol. #6 shot winchester supremes. Is this not a very good pattern or is it safe enough to take a shot out to 40 yards?

rkw, i'd look for something more. you might try 5s or 4s thru it and see how it does. i like to see at least 100; 85 would be my minimum. as said before, clean your barrel good for best results.

are you talking about the full strut by browning?
Yes sir I do believe that is the one. It is an awesome choke, but I would guess it to be pretty hard to find for the BPS now days, everything has gone invector [:@]. My Bps is aobut to turn into a turkey only gun anyway, duck hunting has bent the ejectors on the sides and it will jam unless I use EXPENSIVE shells.

Sometimes less is more. The added shot can actually result in a less than desirable pattern,as the added shot can get in the way. Too much traffic. See how you do with 3" 1 7/8 load. BTW that's enough pellets in a 10" circle.
It helped the pattern 100% in my gun 2 ounce loads would not pattern at all tried several chokes.
