For many years I hunted Spring gobbler with my goose gun a Browning A-5 3" mag. w/32" barrel. It shoots a good pattern, I harvested several gobblers with it and won consistently at shooting matches; however, on one trip I was unable to shoot at 4 boss gobblers which walked by me in the open at 20 yards because I couldn't get my gun barrel past a small sapling to get into position for a shot without alerting the birds.....
I now hunt with a shorted barrel and clean debris to give me a clear radius to move my gun freely....
