turkeys gobbling and strutting

Default turkeys gobbling and strutting

so i was out and about today and I saw a bunch of turkey lets say 7 0r 8 strutting around and one of them even gobbled is this normal behavior for this time of year? Were the turkeys trying to establish dominance?

What state are you in? there gobbling good in Fla right now season opens March 1st

Yes I agree with Mr. Longbeard. I saw around 40 today while on my lunch break and the Toms and the hens were all together. There wasnt any struttingor gobbling but the day was rather cold...

yeah here in new york it hit 72 maybe the weather set them off who knows

Yeah its not uncommon to see them strutting and gobbling this time of year. I've seen them doing it in december before.
