Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Bosstom; I have only hunted them in the Fall and Winter. I have seen as many as 29 one evening fly up to roost around my treestand in Vermillion County. I do like the all day hunts myself. I havent been successful in arrowing a bird YET, but Ive had a great time trying. I have a few friends and one in paticular that hunt southern Illinois counties ( like Jasper County ) and he never comes home empty handed, he says I think its called Sam Par Park is great for turkey hunting, he is going to take me there this spring to watch him hunt and call, I know he can teach me alot about turkeys and turkey hunting. I hope the job in Illinois works out good for you and your spring turkey hunting If you check the Illinois Department of Natural Resources website you can see the harvest total #s for the varying counties in Illinois , this may help you narrow your search for a county to hunt in Illinois.

3rd season-April 25-April 30( Application Deadline Feb 10 )
4th season-May 1----May 7
5th season-May 8----May 16
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Southern Zone Season Dates 2003

1st season-April l7-April 11
2nd season-April 12-APRIL 17
3rd season-April 18-April 23
4th season-April 24-April 30
