hey yall.
im from eastern kentucky and this weekend im gonna be tryin to call in a gobbler for my buddy in the youth hunt. im 16 and he is 15 so im too old to hunt during the youth hunt weekend, but im really wantin my friend to bag a big tom seein as hes never killed a turkey before. things was lookin good till i found out bout the weather. it supposed to move from the 75 degree weather we been havin to a high of 42 degrees the day we are gonna be hunting. is hunting cold fronts any different than regular hunting? i cant remember the last time i hunted with these types of changes in the weather. what should we do different than what we'd do in normal weather?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

I just went out scouting today and it was about 28 degrees a week ago or so it was in the 60s. well I saw 120 turkeys this evening. They dont really care about cold IMO they have to live and eat. Its not like they have a house. You might have to change your tactics a bit

Alot of the birds in W. KY have already or are starting to breed. I've been seeing alot of big flocks with less vocal birds/and groups of 2-3 jakes running together. Hopefully the flocks will bust up by openning day.
