How far can I pull 'em???

RE: How far can I pull 'em???
The first bird I called inanswered my call from what seemed like a mile away. I was getting ready to move towards it but gave it a few more minutes and it seemed to be getting closer. I couldn't believe I was actually bringing one in from that far, but he was definitely coming. It turned out that there were two longbeards, and as soon as I saw them I quit calling and they made a b-line to my hot hen decoy. I couldn't shoot for probably 5 minutes as they were inseperable. They moved together the whole time, and when they finally split, I just picked one and BOOM! I couldn't believe it. That was on public property too

Some days as far as you can hear them, some days not one step. Good advice given above,be ready to move if he won't. In some situations (such as a property line) a paralell move will get his attention if he thinks a hot girl is slipping away he may come running. Take your time and remember what your caller(cousin) did and try to be wherethe turkey isgoing. What county are you in,I'm in Duplin

You can pull a turkey for a long long way if he's wants it bad enough
trophy time posted, “but it will also depends on the birds at the time”. That's 100% true! You’ll only pull him as far as he wants to be pulled.Getting as close as possible is always your best bet.
