Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Crows?

I've seen crows fallow turkeys through fields and swoop down out of trees very close to the turkeys. They are always fussing at them, here in Georgia if you hear a bunch of crows cawing at something near a field you can bet there are turkeys under them. What exaclty do the crows do? Are they tring to eat them? Do they just like fussing at them? I never got a straight ansewer on this, someone told me once that they were tring to get the turkeys off thier food source.

Owl's are an enemy of the crow, I also believe that the crow is a taritorial Bird and finds the turkey as an intruder. They tend to want to run off there enemy...BT

In front of my reloading room we have three apple trees .In the fall the crows will come to feed on the apples and every time they do the turkeys come to get the ones the crows knock off the trees. I have watched them follow the crows from tree to tree quite a few times. I don't know how they get along other times but the turkeys sure come running when the crows are in the apples .

Interesting answers, I'd never really thought of any of those. I just always thought crows were put on earth to make life miserable for others. I just figured they were harrassing the turkeys, just because they could.
