Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Isn't there an ( offshoot subspecies ) somewhere in South America or in the Yucitan Rain Forest ?
If so does anyone have any Pictures of this bird , I heard that the tail featers look like a peacocks tail.

RDhunter thats the osceolated that you are talking about.

Back to the original question i would have to go with the osceola. they're smaller, less of them, hard terrain, and often they don't gobble very much once they get on the ground.

I've only ever hunted Easterns but I gotta go with Easterns simply because of the hunting pressure. Here in Western Pa, it's pretty bad.

Just fork out about 5 to 10 grand and you too can have your own Ocillated turkey. By the way, Rios are easy to kill. The Eastern is the most wary, but make up the majority of the sub species. I don't think Osceolas are that tough to kill, there's just not near as many as the Easterns. As for the bird itself, I will have to go with the Eastern.

I'm with the Osceola Boys

These birds are stuburn, when they flydown everything is trying to eat them so they are quiet most of the time. If presured they can be the hardest birds to figure, even a Pa public bird is stupider then that

When down to the wire Osceola's will leave ya scratching your head...
