Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default "Jalvja" Slams one to the ground in PA

Well the scouting that we have done in short order has related in a PA Gobbler downed.

The place we hunt on a normal year has been turn up side down with gas crews setting pumping sites. Most of the birds have moved off and we did manage to find a small hollow with some scratchings and a sighting of about 8 gobblers.

This afternoon we setup on a ridge line , Jim on one side me on the other and around the 4:30 pm mark Jalvja's Clucks produced a sighting of gobblers and one bird that hit the ground.

He now says they have scattered into the hollow so we'll see if we can burn up my tag tomorrow...

Good luck, Adrian...You are in an envious situation, having a flock of longbeards scattered..Good luck..

I've been into birds but haven't managed to make contact with any longbeards yet...Hopefully I'll find some before I lose my patience and burn my tag on a jake......

Congrats to Jalvja on his fall gobbler..

congrats! good luck gettin the rest of the tags filled!!

i knew i wouldnt have time to turkey hunt much with bow season and college...so saturday was too nasty to bowhunt..so i went ahead with the shotgun and got me a nice hen. population in the area is outrageous..our group took 4 hens that day. wont even damper the population. gobblers roost with a dozen hens and barely gobble in the spring..fall hunting the area is relatively easy because the flocks are so large and the woodlots are so small. spring hunting is a diffrent story. had some of my best hunts on the small woodlots in the spring..but man you gota catch the right bird at the right time.

Now that archery is over I may have to try my luck on gobblers.
