This year when hunting by myself (without my 10 year son) I've taken two birds in 5 hunts. The last hunt was a two hour afternoon hunt. I don't shoot jakes.
Over the years I would estimate my success rate to be about 25-33%. I usually hunt until noon.

Your state DNR probably has the stats posted on their website somewhere.They'll at least have the # of turkeys harvested and the number of permits issued, it's just math after that. That doesn't take into account the guy who hunts every day vs the guy whohunts one weekend
