I have used a silent dog whisle for a while .
It works best if the birds have been hammered by other calls .
Besides , if the tom gobbels before you are finished you can here it .

can't use it, but i've heard them gobble when a cow moooos, "for real"
i really think its a shock gobble, something loud during the breeding season will make them gobble,

Truck doors slamming work good too, but since I can't carry my truck into the thick stuff, I tend to stick with the crow call

Do they make a sanhill crane call. When those things fly over screaming in the morning the turkeys go nuts!

My buddy heard the gobblers go crazy when the flock of geese flew over him and honked

How did you have it adjusted all the way in ?
or all the way out where it makes a slight whistel sound ?
Or halfe way.
Thank You
