Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default RE: 2 3/4" turkey loads

ORIGINAL: Pro-Line

I am hunting with a buddy that is an experienced hunter, but new to gobbler hunting. He doesn't have a 3" gun, so will be shooting 2 3/4" shells. He's willing to buy a gun...but not until he decides if he likes this style of hunting.

1. What is a good brand/shot size for him to try in 2 3/4?
2. What will this do to his effective range? I know it will back it offa little, but not sure how much.

THANKS!!!
I liked the Winchester Supreme's in 1 5/8oz of #5's in the 2 3/4" shell out of a Tru-Glo .665 choke tube. Excellent patterns out to 35 yards!!
