Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default RE: Why the long barrel??

Ask "Nitro Ray" if barrel length effects patterning. He most certainly will tell you that yes it DOES!!! I know shorter barrels are lighter and easier to carry in the woods, but if a 26" barrel will yield better and harder hits that a neat and compact 22" you can bet I will just live with a few snags here and there and lug around the 26"er.

As for duck hunters, the 26" is king in my market. 24"ers just aren't disired because the guys on each side of you in the blind will complain about noise (I tell em SHAME ON YOU for not having hearing protection!) and 28"ers are PITA because they are forever snagging something on the way up, out of the blind to shoot.

Good luck,
RA
