gobbler guillotine

RE: gobbler guillotine
Haven't use it personally on a turkey, but my advice is to be a good shot to use it. It is not to be used obviously on the body, only at the head should it be shot at. And to answer your second question, there are many broadheads out there that will do the job. You want a broadhead that sticks in good, bleeds and holds the wound open, and a broadhead that flys true to your aim, with of course a little help in shifting the sights a little. I personally use GoldTip, ABC Sonics, and Hypershock broadheads.

NAP makes a nice mechanical called the "Gobbler Getter", you can find them at Cabelas or BP. 100gr & 125gr.
I shot the 100gr last year, the only set back to shooting a mechanical other then the Tekan is you cant shoot thru the screens on most ground blinds. The new Tekans by Montec will get thru the shoot thru screens with out affecting your arrow flight.

just a quick question about the mechanicals for turkeys. would it be alright to shoot a large diameter broadhead from a lower poundage bow for turkeys? since you want only so much penentration could i shoot mechanicals even though i'll only be shooting maybe 50#.

i used them last year .killed both my turkey with them.they say to use there arrows with bigger fletching but i use regular arrows and they work fine. the only drawback is you have to put them in something until you get to where you are setting up i use a little zip lock container.
