fasterem: In your post you asked why some of the forum members were using rechargeable batteries. This is the information I have on the box that Pure Energy Alkaline batteries came in: (I quote) 1) 5 year guarantee, 2) long lasting alkaline power, 3) conveniently rechargeable 100 to 500 times, 4) no "memory effect" so they can be charged anytime, 5) the environmental choice for batteries, 6) precharged and ready to use with a seven year shelf life. this particular package was listed as a value Pack where it has 3 packages each of 4 AA batteries, 4 AAA batteries and an enviro charger. All batteries are rated at 1.5 volt. This package was purchased at the Canadian store "Princess Auto". All the Pure Energy batteries are manufactured in Canada.
The "C" batteries and charger that I use (also by Pure Energy) are mentioned in an above post.
