Put the camera to work. Get it outside and that smell should fade. I accidentally got some scent on it that i was putting near my camera to draw in bucks. Best think to do is get it out there i think

I always take a scent away wipe with me and after setting it up I wipe it down. I don't think it is really that big of concern compared to checking your camera too often and leaving your stink in there.

I would that they could smell the batteries when they get up close to it.

Don't worry about it. Otherwise if I wiped it down then I'd have to wipe down my footsteps in and my footsteps out. Scent will go away once its out there.

Put your camera out and go to it when it's raining or snowing, mother nature will descent your trail.

I guess i never really worried about it. i have pictures of coyotes basically touching my camera and they did not mind and they are one of the more skitish animals out there.

I am not saying that trying to be scent free is important, but sometimes I think we try too hard and over think scent management. In nature things that smell are very impermanent. Rain and wind get rid or smells a lot quicker than we tend to think.
