Problem with game camera
I just bought a Moultrie M-60 game camera and I am having some problems with it. It does not seem to detect movement any farther than about 15 feet and it very rarely flashes at nighttime. I originally had a hodgepodge of used batteries in it so I put in a brand new set of Duracells as recommended by Moultrie when I called them. The new batteries did not help.Anybody have any ideas what may be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it running the latest firmware?
How high do you have it mounted? Mine works best at waste to chest high pointed level to pointing up (otherwise the flash blasts pretty bright).
I run Duracells in my M60 since Sept and its still at 38%.
It's taken about 3000 pics and 250 vids.

Firmware is the internal software that the camera runs on.
If it's not flashing at all then I would suspect the camera flash being faulty.
I'd call Moultrie.
I think there is a test you can do on the camera and it will spit out a code if something is faulty but I'm not seeing how to do that in the manual.

Went out and swapped cards on my M60 yesterday and here is how to do the test on it.
Turn off, wait about 10sec and then turn back on. Press test button and it will go through a series of tests. Follow the LCD instructions. I couldn't get mine to do a flash test outside so you may have to try it both ways. It should come back and say that all checks passed.
