Default Bunch of 10 sec videos - Scoutguard 550

Well, I am VERY impressed with the scoutguard that I've had out for less than a month! It got as many animals set out on a trail as some of my other cameras did set up on feeders!

I had a hard time deciding which ones to post so I'll just post a whole bunch of them and if you want to click on them then go ahead. I've had cameras out on the property for nearly 2 years now and the scoutguard got my first bobcat on film in less than a month of being out there.

Bobcat:

SplitG2 buck:

Here's a doe and you can see the shadow of her fawns following her at the end:

I have it set on 10 second videos with a 5 or 6 second pause, so the next video was her twin fawns:

I got a coyote:

Another decent young buck (either a great 2 1/2 year old or an average or slightly below average 3 1/2 year old):

Here's just a nice video of a doe and her fawn:

Here's 3 does with no fawns. Not sure if the fawns are somewhere else or what's up with that.

A short sparring match right in front of the camera!

3 bucks traveling in a line:

The video quality is VERY good in the original file, but very large as well. Uploading them to photobucket you lose some of the image quality but the smaller size files make them much easier to upload.

This isn't all of them!! There are 3 times as many and almost all of them are great quality. I was very impressed.

Oh well, I thought I would share.

Nathan

Great video's!! How do you post the video up on here without having the link In the post? I like your way much better by just clicking the picture instead.

Great vids Nathan! 10 secs is a good setting. I use 15 secs. lets you get more video per card........

Yeah, I was pretty happy with the settings. With the short 5 second delay itseemed to getanything trailing along behind, and for the most part the animal is in and out of the frame well within the 10 second interval. I was worried about card space since it was out for almost a month and even set to medium on sensitivity it picked up a few false triggers in some high winds. I think I had 130 videos on my 2 gig card and about 50 of those were false triggers but that's not bad for the wind around here. I trimmed back a branch you can see in the top of some of the clips and mowed around a bit with my tractor so that should cut down on the false triggers. I didn't think I placed it in that good of a spot originally, but after checking out all the videos I decided to keep it there for a while.
