Could be a bob cat? It's tail is the right size and it's big enough. They normally don't move in daylight, but it does happen.Hopefully you can get a real good look at it.

This is part of an email sent to me from ODNR about the cat picture --

Matt

"Thank you for forwarding the photo to me. It does indeed have the body form of a bobcat. Melanistic bobcats are quite rare and have been reported primarily in Florida, so your photo is quite intriguing. I maintain a database of bobcat sightings and I would like to add your information to it. Could you possibly provide me with a more detailed location, such as nearest road intersection or township?

Thanks again for reporting your sighting. Such information is very important and helps us monitor the recovering bobcat population.

Best wishes,

Suzie

Maybe its a pixie bob. They are like a mix of house cat, and bobcat I think. Here is a picture of one posted on here a long time ago.

I think it is a Bobcat but is shaded and just looks darker than it really is?Put it onyour computer and lighten it up a bit and Ibelieve it won't be as dark as it is showing!
