Camtrakker Digital
I have a Camtrakker Digital (Sony W30 6.0mp) with the strobe flash. I paid a premium for the camera, but am disappointed that the case's lense is only plastic and creates some distortion. I would have thought that this camera would come with an optical quality glass lense. It doesn't make sense to me why a higher quality digital camera with a Zeiss lense would have to take pictures through plastic. Does anyone have one of these cameras and have you replaced the plastic lense with glass. If so, how did you go about doing this?
Thanks,

I guess I never really gave it much thought but now that you've mentioned it, why the heck don't they use a glass lens ??? [&:]
As good as my images from my Cam Trakker are, I can't imagine how impressive a top quality lens would make?

RE: Camtrakker Digital
I have 2 digital Camtrakkers that have taken literally THOUSANDS of photos, and I have never had any trouble with distortion or even scratches on the plastic lenses. I have a 4.1 Camtrakker with the strobe light flash, but though I haven't had any problems with distortion, the flash can sometimes "wash out" the pictures.
Here is a picture from a couple of nights ago that was taken with a 6.0 Camtrakker without the strobe light flash.
