RE: recon talon digital ir
The Talon was the last camera I reviewed. I thought that it was too expensive for what you get.
I didn't like the picture quality, but generaly do not like IR picture quality. It takes six D size batteries which is more than most. It was relatively easy to operate. Had average trigger speed. Poor locking and tree attachment capabilities. Few picture viewing options and the IR quit working within the first month.

I have 2 Talon's & 1 extreme. They are simple to operate and as far a picture quality goes, the IR is better than most commercial IR's. I also have a Leaf River IR. My B-I-L has a Cuddeback IR. The trigger is about a 4 second trigger. You just have to aim it the right way to get the best photos. It is not a camera for trails, unless you aim it up or down the trail. In bright light or a close animal you will get white out.

I like the Talon over the Leaf Rivers. Go to www.chasingame.com they have every camera reviewed there.
