Default moultrie game watcher 2.1 JUNK?!?!?

This is my second gamewatcher 2.1 cam. I also had a moultrie gamespy 200 that also died in less than 1 year. These game watchers are battery eaters! they kill a brand new 6v battery overnight without a single pic! How is this possible? The temp outside last night was about 20*f but come on????

bullethole.. I hate mine.. it kills the battery overnight and it gets real old when the cam say's 0 pics and low battery. I'll be going back to the gamespy 200 if not the new stealth with that new 6v lead acid battey unit

I agree totally. Last year I bought 3 of the 1.3 they were total garbage this year I got one of the 2.1 same thing -- eat batteries, miss photos, and are expensive to operate with 6 volt -- none of the battery charges last long enough. I bought some of the 49.97 units of Wildview and they work great. You can also get a rebate for $10. They last a long time and don't miss photos. They are made by Stealth Camera I will never get anything else.

not what I was hoping to hear since I got one for Christmas, although it did say not to use below 29*f. I was hoping to use it year round but here in Maine the winters are much colder than that, so I'll have to wait till spring.

I also have one of these cameras and was disappointed when I picked it up. It only had 4 pictures and they were all taken the same night that it was put out. I had it aimed at 50lbs. of corn. All the corn was gone and it was there for a month. Not sure if I should take it back to Wal-Mart or call Customer Service. I hope I can find the reciept.

Trouble with battery life? Get two rechargeables and swap them out as needed. Also add a solar panel to it. I had my Moultrie out for over 2 weeks at 99 percent with the solar panel on it.

Must betemperature-related? I have two similar Moultrie cameras, one from Walmart and one from Bass Pro. The one from Walmart worked great over the summer and I got some great pictures. I just received the other one for Christmas. Now, neither of the cameras are getting anything and they are set-up on good trails. Plenty of deer tracks right in front of the camerasbut no picture.
