PLEASE tell me how to sharpen a broadhead !!!
I got Zwickey 2 blades, Phantoms, Magnus and First Cut broadheads. I like the Zwickey and First Cut best.
HOW DO YOU SHARPEN THEM !! I want a razor sharp blade from tip to base, hair shaving sharp. I have tried two kinds of Tru angle, Lansky and a doodle-whopper sharpener thingy and nothing works. Oh, I can get them sharp, even the back 1/2 razor sharp, but not the full length razor sharp.
PLEASE HELP ME ....

Never used a First Cut thing-a-ma-bob...but I've killed a bunch of critters with Zwickeys.
Get yourself a 10" or 12" mill bastard file, a fine Arkansas stone, and some honing oil.
Lay the file flat on a table with the handle tang pointed straight back towards you. With a mounted broadhead, drag one edge at a time from back to front on the file. Keep doing this until ALL of the factory grind marks are gone and you roll a burr on the edge. Flip and repeat. Do the other blade.
Switch to the stone and do the same untill you roll a burr. Flip and repeat. Do the other edge. Remove the burr completely with a VERY LIGHT pass on the stone.
To finish it off I take the stone and round over the tip of the head. Don't blunt the thing, just make the tip not so "needle-like". It increases it's strength and greatly reduces roll-overs.

The best things I've found are those broadhead sharpening wrenches. Those little hand held things with the two small carbide teeth. They farm a V to set an edge. I sharpened some knives with one of those and was very impressed. I got cut when doing my Ka-Bar. Unfortunately I lost mine <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> but it's not too bad 'cause they cost like $7
God bless,

Well, as a last ditch effort, I ordered a Redi-Edge sharpener today. If that don't work, it might be Muzzy's flying out of my longbow for elk this season.

Here's a helpful site I found along with video to demonstrate
the techniques outlined in the text. Hope you can use it.

I love the Accusharp, and its what Mike Sohm recommends (Magnus CEO) so thats good enough for me. $10 ain't bad either. Do a search on them on the LW and you'll see lots of positives.....pete

Stealthy, I use Zwickey's, too, and just don't have any hair left on my arm. I used a homemade Tru-Angle file to get the edges down to a workable point. Then went to the Accusharp with fairly heavy pressure for about 10 - 15 strokes. Next I used ~10 LIGHT strokes with it. You can feel it when it's right. Next, I used a ceramic rod like a steel for a few light strokes followed by a good stropping.
