nothin much
Just thought I would make a new post, try to get my count up, get rid of the "fawn" label (why does that make me feel unclean?) and see if anybody is hanging around.
So anybody winning any shoots or killing any critters or landing any big fish?
I passed up a bear the other night. Had him dead to rights too.

Won the GA State Traditional Championship (men's longbow class) a while back. Went to Twin Oaks (TN Classic) and didn't place, but had an absolute ball. Been to FL and shot some stingrays, and shot a big drum ('bout 15#) a few days ago bowfishing with a bud here. Going to the TX State Longbow Championship next weekend, then Cloverdale after that. Plan on doing more bowfishing this summer. Got a bunch of turkey wings given to me by my buds that turkey hunt (was gonna go this year, but ankle said "NO!").
For someone that is broke and not able to work (in a cast right now--doc's latest brilliant move), I've had a great time--make enough strings when I go to a shoot to cover expenses. Trip to FL was to pick up my girlfriend's mom (she's a snowbird--lives in FL during the winter) and the 3-day fishing license was only $7. A friend took me out on his boat, so that was super cheap. Life is good!

Any time a guy can make expenses doing what he loves, life is good. I popped up to the Traditional Bowhunter's of British Columbia 3-D championship today and bought a membership to the org. Handled a Chek-Mate Thunderbird while there that is one of the buck a ticket draw prizes. What a sweet bow. Too bad it didn't come a little longer. Bought some draw tickets, of course it won't do me any good, have to be there when they draw.

I have yet to "break even" on my business, but it does help be go to some places that otherwise I wouldn't get to (read as excuse). A two edged sword, as when I set up as a vendor I don't have time to get out and play/visit like I want--can't have it all I guess.
Did you see Marc at the TBBC shoot? Pretty sure he was there all weekend--kind of a hippy looking guy, not real big but strong as a bull. Might have even been shooting a CM bow--lol.
