Who here has filled their Tags???
Just wondering who here has filled their tags for the season.
I went spotting this morning for my next hunt, or maybe even next season. 3 does 2 fawns and a buck minimum.
Will get a better look in the morning. It was day break by the time I got there and they were going back under cover when I saw them.

I have taken a couple deer already this year, but with never fill all the tags available here in Tennessee. If I took all the allowed deer within a 20 mile radius of my house, I would shoot over 50 deer. I really have no desired to take that many, but 5 or 6 would be nice.............Tom

Did well here in Michigan this year. I filled a tag with my recurve (nice large doe) and filled another with my muzzleloader (really large 8pt). I plan on filling my remaining antlerless tag for my dad if possible. Have a great holiday season.

Missed the one shot at a very large 10 pt in WV. Haven't had a shot here in the Lowcountry of SC. But it is impossible to fill all of the tags down here. On private land the DAILY bag limit is UNLIMITED. As many as you can shoot, kill and recover are fair game. There is a limitation on does. The game management folk come in, evaluate the land and give you a certain number of doe tags based on their assessment of the deer population on the land you are hunting. Forgot to add, our season runs from Aug 15th to Jan 1st.

I filled one tag in TN with my longbow--it seems I have to run away from home to find time to get in the woods. Hope to fill at least one more during the New Year's holiday, and maybe take a MS deer or two (no tags here, except on Federal land). I think we are allowed a total of 8 or 9 deer this year, so there is no danger of me tagging out in MS or TN.

Bad news from CT. Haven't even seen a deer with a bow in hand. Lots of turkeys, just couldn't get close enough for a shot. CT has a fall archery turkey season. Muzzleloader just opened but doesn't look good. Public land I hunt was overun with shotgun hunters for the last 3 weeks. Went out yesterday and deer sign was low. Did cut a few tracks in the snow but they were old[:'(]
There is a week long bow in late December, hope to see some then.

I've killed a couple of does, a big mature one & a yearling...only problem is that the yearling grew 'buttons' after it hit the ground. [&o] I did shoot a decent 8 pt, but caught shoulderbone. I sure was relieved when I saw it walking around about a month later. Sure would turn this season around if I could get another crack at him........
