Thanks for the offer burnie. I'm using a few sites. Sams has helped me a great deal. I've also been using Georges site as well as taking him up on the offer with personal emails. I'm ready to move on to tillering tomorrow and will update some pics.

Also, your bows sound awesome. Wouldn't mind seeing some pics someday. Good luck with them.

quick update. Nothing much. Just wanted to show off my new tiller bench. After making a mess in different parts of the house, I'm now set up in my basement to be able to tiller this sucker in and avoid the wife.

Ok, weekend stopping point. Pick it up next weekend while I study my next steps. Anyway, I'm at 50# at 20".

Holy cow, that thing is looking like you have been doing this for a long time. My first one didn't.

One thing I will point out is. Your bow is probably starting to stack. You see where the string meets the nock? When that angle gets past 80-90degrees (yours is past 90) bows will start to stack. Only solution is longer bow or recurving the tips.

Great bow.

Mark.

By the look of it he is still on the long string, so it shouldn't stack when he gets the short string on

True, didn't notice that. I usually get it to brace after about 10" of tip movement. Sometimes you come under wieght keeping it on the long string too long.

Looks great for a first go. More telling will be a braced pic.. Looks like you are still on a long string. If so, you really need to brace it and start from there. A long string will throw you off if you stay on it too long.

Man, I must suck at bow building. This cats on his first and has a perfect arc. If he can get it near that good on brace, he's set.
