Default Curiosity Question

Sorry for what may or may not be a dumb question, but has anyone ever made a traditional bow with a shoot through riser?

Here's one from the 60's. This is a prototype from Sweeney.

Then this one from Sabo, looks like it's based on the Sweeney.

One from Drake.

And this wild contraption.

Then these longbows. #1 1940 (J.O. Lowell), #2 1931 (C.J. Cameron) and #3 1897 (G.L. Thorne). Take a hard look at #3 and tell me the Whisker Bisquit is a new idea. [8D]
