Thanks. I just got back from the lake and the fish were not in on my plan. Only one blue cat was on the trout line. It could have had something to do with the storm that came through. I went ahead and set it agian and will check it tomorrow. I think Ill go ahead and go out into the shop and start the long process of tillering.

Thanks BowHuntingFool, I appreciate it.
Been doing some scraping and have the bow getting close to brace.
Life is better in wood curls.

And here is a picture of my high tech bowyers bench.

Been scrapping and checking over and over. Ill scrape a certain number of strokes on each limb and then put the bow on the tiller tree and excersise the limbs 30 times, then flex the the bow to only 55lbs and see where she is. Ill hook the string at that length andlook overthe limbs to insure that they are not doing anything crazy and correct the problems as I go. I have also made reference marks on the limb every 4", starting at the tips. I use these marks to measure tiller to insure the limbs are bending evenly. Here is where I am now. The bow is on a long tiller string so it will not look the same as if it were braced. The bow is flexed at 54lbs @ 7". I want to get passed 10" before I try to lose brace her.

Burnie, those tips look nice. I did the same on an osage bow I am working on. But they came out too short and too thick. I need to get a bench belt sander.
