Recurve string question

Recurve string question
I have an old recurve that I had as a kid and I want to set it up for my daughter. Can I string this up myself (what kind of string should I use?) or should I take it to a pro shop?
Thanks!
Thanks!

RE: Recurve string question
You will more than likely need a Dacron Flemish Twist string.
Get in contact with Chad here on the forum he makes a real good Flemish twist string.
Unless the limb tips are reinforced stay away from the fast flight materials.

RE: Recurve string question
LBR can make you a string or you can order one from many different places. You can use flemish or endless loop strings, it's your choice and Dacron would be the safest choice. You'll need to give the AMO length of the bowthen buy accordingly. The weight of the bow would be helpful also for strand count. Chad (LBR) can tell you how to measure the bow if you can't find the AMO size.
