Default Bill Stewart Multi-Cam recurve

Just bought one with 2 sets of limbs, 64" and 55# and 59# @ 28", a funky camo-actionwood riser and green limbs.

Anyone have any experience with this bow ? I know Stewart died some time back, his multi-cam limbs look funky

Almost bought one several years ago, but the price held me back--they were pretty expensive, especially for an actionwood bow. I couldn't find out much about them either, at least from anyone that actually owned and shot one.

Curious to hear what you think once you get it.

I have a '99 Multi-Cam,56" 55#@27". It has a 14" 2-tone actionwood riser(nice looking)and yew limbs. It's a real quick bow, very accurate but a bit shocky and seems to stack on the last inch or so of draw--also abit loudbut to be fair-I really haven't played with brace and string too much to try and tune it.I got mine on a trade so I don't have alot of $$$ in it but I understand they're were pretty costly. Also the overlays aren't real nice-sorta blocky looking.Right now I'm using it as my bowfishing bow.I'm at work but when I get home I'll post a pic or two of it.

wow - you reckon I could have made those bigger ??

built in 1993 ......... more traditional than the new Widow bows that are machine made but yes, those limbs are very funky. He had some great ideas that Bear never bought into and evenutally he made his own bows the way I hear it. Will be fun to shoot that sucker !

Really cool!! Differant but really cool looking. The limbs are kinda bizarre with that kink in the middle but when it's braced it looks pretty normal. They really spit an arrow out.I guess I should be fair to mine and try to set it up right-like I said,I didn't spend alot of time with it so I believe it could be a better mannered bow.Maybe I'll string her up tonite and work with it a bit-see what happens.
