Default CHAD: I'm Starting to Get Peeved at My Bow

I went to the pro shop Saturday and was shooting 8 shoot groups so I would'nt have to stand around while all the compounders were shooting their 6-8 shot groups. I broke two arrows, field points do a number on cedar, and shot off a couple feathers.

If this bow doesn't stop it, I'm gonna have to go back to one shot groups!

Lamb, I wouldnt stand for that. I would pack it up and send it back to the maker. Must be something wrong with it if you keep hitting arrows.
Here's a tip that may help you. Close your dominant eye, and shoot standing on your head. If that doesnt work for you, I would look for a new bow.

I'll tell you what--send me that bow and $50 and I will send you my 98@28 flatbow. Guaranteed to screw up your shoulder (and if you were ever thinking about having any more children, it will fix that too) and open up your groups to pole-barn size. I've gotta' get with Marc about that--my bud (Pat Daily) just came by and picked his new Crusader up, and he got his first robin-hood. Bad thing is, it was with my arrows! Oh well--think long and hard about what a great deal (and sacrifice on my part) I am offering and let me know. LOL!

Honestly though, you are the one shooting those groups--the bow is just a tool. That particular tool just seems to fit you! Don't cut yourself short, because you deserve the credit. Great shooting, by the way!

If you don't want it, I'll be happy to take it off your hands. I'll even pay the shipping. It's lovely being able to break arrows, but actually doing it is annoying. I'd like to get a robin hood though; just so I can say I did it and make a trophy of the arrows. Dip them in 24K gold and put them in an air tight glass case hanging by fishing line sound good? If you hold it together while hunting I reckon anything in your aim has somethign to worry about. Happy hunting.

God bless,
Brandan

Chad,

I do appreciate your gracious offer, but I'm not into pain! 98#? I don't have to worry about fathering children, that is another painful story, but I do have to worry about going from singing bass to soprano!!

So, I guess I'll just have to hold onto this bow and stick with one shot groups. That's all you get anyway when shooting at a deer.

Mike,

The glove has helped tremendously and I would never understate the contribution it has made to the improvement in my shooting. The crisp, clean release is something I have never been able to achieve with any other glove or tab. Thanks for trying one first and sharing with the board how great they are!
