Default server problems

Recently I purchased a flemish twist string for my bow. For the most part I have been happy with it; it shoots quiet and looks classy. The problem is with the server. I've only shot with it a couple of weeks and the server is beginning to fray and bunch up. Did I get a bad string and is there anything I can treat the server with that will prevent this from worsening?

Default RE: server problems

Thanks. I didn't realize that you were supposed to wax the server as well as the exposed string material. Maybe that's the root of my problem.
