88: Its your cash pal, do what you wanna do. Long as I don't hear your children are running around barefoot and hungry, you won't get much more than a little good hearted ribbing from me.

I See Em Too: Welcome to the boards. I do understand what your saying. Sometimes we just have to accept that some of us aren't 300 60X type of guys. 59 would work for me. <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

MM88,

I tend to agree with the others. A big part of our sport is confidence in our equipment. Regardless if it is a $20 sight or a $120 sight it has to suit our needs. If it doesn't then we don't have confidence in it and will have a difficult time relying on it when it comes down to crunch time.

Experiment all you like and post about it as often as you can. It is these type of experiences that help many new shooters out there.

Gee ICM, if I wasn't pretty thick skinned, you would have hurt my feelings. Just remember, we all aren't as good a shot as you and when you get your show on tv, I will watch with anticapation so I can see how it's done and be like you.<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

well, sorry i`m not as sensitive as some of you or as politically correct. but i was taught and believe in calling a spade a spade. i`m not perfect, just another man trying to see my way through life. archery is not rocket-science...if you spend the time shooting you will get better. if you spend your money and time trying this and that gizmo without giving said gizmo a fair shake well then you`re just spending your time and money and not learning. on to the next gizmo right ....on to the next excuse right. all well and good until said poster makes it public for us &quot;newbies&quot; to read. thats great for the shops, but what about my god-son that saves his hard-earned money(mowing lawns, cleaning corals and bucking alfalfa). he frequents this board and anyone that posts as much as M 88 must know what their talking about right....

i hope you can see where i`m coming from

M 88 do`nt mean to sound like i`m picking on you but you made the posts. go back and read them, hows it sound to you?

to the Nancys that replied sorry i forgot to put the frosting and sprinkels on for you. Got Sack? ....

MM88, I will admit that there have been times when reading your posts, I thought to myself...that boy don`t give stuff a chance! But that sure never made me think less of you. I figure you are just trying to have your stuff the way you want it....the best it can be for you. I would much rather see a guy trying to get his equipment right, than see a guy that does`nt care.

ICM11, you remind me of my neighbor, he`s always biting into sour pickles with a sore tooth!

I think you ask to much of yourself as far as shooting ability goes. Then when you are unable to produce the results you feel you should have, you start messin with your setup in an attempt to make it better. Sometimes you might actually make it better but most of the time not. All the stuff on the market won't buy you accuracy. Accuracy comes from proper form and execution. Good luck..

&quot;IF I MAKE THIS CHANGE, HOW MUCH IMPROVEMENT AM I GUARANTEED WILL BE INSTANTLY ADDED TO MY ACCURACY LEVEL WITH THE SAME AMOUNT OF EFFORT ON MY PART?&quot;

That's a quote I got from Bob Ragsdale. I find myself using that many times when I think about tinkering with my setup. I don't think there's anything wrong with trying out new products, especially if the current item isn't working at all for you. There does come a point where one can get over-obsessive though. Last year, I overhauled my bow completely. I replaced: strings, cables, rest, sights, arrows and quiver. Felt like I had a new bow.

Well, I'm not going to comment on ICMII's remarks. I know what kind of shooter I am, and know what I am capable of. No, I'm not an olympic material shooter, but most people knew I was there after a day on the range.

My shooting wasn't the problem, it was finding the right rest this summer. THe MZE just didn't do it for me, but the NAP 4000 works great. I bought a sight that vibrated badly, would you leave it on ICMII?

Roland, this is my setup this year final:

Hoyt Cybertec
Copper John Dead Nuts sight
NAP QT 4000 Drop away rest
Fletcher tru peep
Alpine soft loc quiver
string leeches
string loop
Gold Tip xt 5575 @ 27&quot;
Muzzy 100gr 3 blade head
