RE: color
The last thing I want to see is the arrow in flight cause if I do then I am not concentrating on my follow through.
For this very reason in practice and 3d I use 2 black 1 dark blue with a black nock.
Now for hunting I use 1 flo yellow 2 flo orange with flo orange nocks so I can find the arrow after the shot.

Good point and logic Ausie. I was just wondering why the change for hunting? Do you hunt in a lot of high grass or fields. I ask because I have also used the same logic and really never had a problem finding an arrow. But then again, I hunt mostly woods.

Bob.
I hunt anywhere and everywhere from open fields with long grass to thick woods.
From a tree stand it is not that hard to find the arrow but when hog hunting from the ground (spot and stalk) the bright colors make the arrow a little easier to find and even then some times I come home minus an arrow or 2
