Goldtip Arrow Advice
I'm looking at making an arrow change this year and would like some advice.
My current set up is:
2004 SC Patriot VFT 70Lbs.
29" draw length
28" arrow (Beman now)
RipCord arrow rest
100 grain Snyper head or 100 grain Muzzy
I'm looking at shooting Goldtips this year and am wondering which would be better for my set up the XT Hunter 5575's or the XT Hunter 7595's. This set up will be mainly a hunting set up, maybe the occasional 3d shoot. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about the xt but I have the hunter 55/75 and the pro75/95 and shoot a 70#. As you would expect I like the pro's better. They were around 75 a dozen from Keystone Archery.

RE: Goldtip Arrow Advice
The local GI Joes sporting goods store had the XT5575's on sale last year so I picked up two dz. at $50 each.
I shoot an '02 Patriot at 71# and couldn't get the Muzzy 4 blade 100's to group with my field points no matter what. I suspect that I was a little underspined, I have picked up some XT7595's for my '05 Defender, but haven't shot them with broadheads or out of the Patriot.
If you can shoot some before buying them at a pro shop, that would be best, but I would probably error on the side of caution and get the stiffer shafts. You could always shoot a 125 head to bring the spine down if you needed to, but I think you will probably be fine.

I have used the GoldTip Hunter XTs for a long time now and they are excellent arrows. They are extreamly tough. Acording to the Goldtip chart you should use the 55/75s but you are close to the line so it probably doesn't mater. I would go with the 55/75s.

IMO with that setup I would shoot 7595's. BTW I moved to them last year and really enjoy them. I was an alum. freak for years, but have friends that shoot all sorts of carbon brands. They recommended GoldTip and I'm there.
