Real Deal Vs. Hogg-It Hunter

Real Deal Vs. Hogg-It Hunter
I think I've made up my mind that I want a Spot-Hogg. What is the difference between these two sights other than the obvious, about 40 bucks? Also, can the 2 3/8" pin guard be centered in a Fletcher Super Hunter TRU peep or is it too large? Thanks for your input.

I have the Real Deal and it centers pretty well in a Specialty Super Peep (3/16" hole). It's going to depend on how close to your eye the peep is, too, or how far you have the sight extended from the bow in the case of the Hogg-It Hunter. The Super Peep has screw in inserts that go from 1/8" all the way down to 1/32", but I use it without an insert for hunting.

I opted for the Hogg-it Hunter. The reason is the additional adjustability of it compared to the Real Deal. For one, you can move the sight out a little farther with the Hunter if you're having trouble getting it centered in the peep. Also, the Hunter has the 3rd Axis adjustments. I think the extra features of the Hunter are worth it. My opinion is, if you're going to spend 110 or 120 bucks on a site. You might as well throw in a couple extra bucks and get Hunter or the Hogg-it

RE: Real Deal Vs. Hogg-It Hunter
I just got my Hogg IT today.............
Can't wait to get this thing sighted in. Only problem is I sliced a few strands the other day on the string when trimming serving on the peep...........[:'(]....so I had to order a new VT VTX string and it won't be here till Thursday. Then next week I will be able to get it all dialed in finally and won't have to tinker with it.

I had the Real Deal (Sure Thing when I bought it) and it fit perfectly in my Super Hunter Tru Peep. I have a 28" draw and was shooting a 35" a-to-a bow. The Hogg-it Hunter is nice, but the extra features would not have been useful on a hunting only bow for me.
