That's probably not a bad way to go as long as you use the blue stuff that can be removed later.
If you use the red it's on there for good.
For the main mounting screw, I just use 2 washers, a split ring backed with a flat one.
Never backed out yet.
Too many set screws on a bow setup make me nervous.
If any one loosens up, the hunt can be ruined.
That's one of the reasons I'm sticking with my flipper.

I would recomend NOT using Loctite on your arrow rest. Just get a good flat washer if you don't have one and oil the threads on the mounting bolt and chinch it down tight There is a special washer caller a wave spring washer that works excelent,, look in a good hardware store.

Older than dirt?
I guess that depends on your definition.
I'm only 35, but been shooting for 25, always fingers, except to set up a few bows for friends.
I grew up shooting off the shelf on a longbow and recurve. Started bowfishing around age 12.
There is nothing quite like feeling the string go and knowing it's going to be a good shot.
Picked up a compound when I started hunting deer about 6 years ago.
I didn't have the time to stay good enough with a trad bow.
Fingers is not for everybody, but when you've done it this long, nothing else compares.
The flipper is also very cheap, my arrows fly well off of it, so I'm happy.

Bulz... Justin thinks I'm prehistoric... so you are older than dirt too.
I was talking to one of our still-wet-behind-the-ears web designers about taking graphic design back in college. That led to talk of riding my dinosaur to campus and using a chisel hack images into a piece of stone.

Bulzeye, just raggin on ya. Man, you a young pup compared to me. I got kids your age. I'm 58 and been shooting compounds for 31 years this year. I know what you mean about releasing the string with fingers. You have already made the transition to compounds. Maybe one of these days........................ well, you never know.
Have fun. That's what this sport is for.

You got it.
I don't think I'll go to a release, but I hold nothing against those who do.
They have a lot of advantages.
AV, you look damned good for your age.
When are we shooting fish?
