MZE zero effect for a Legacy
I have heard that Muzzy is looking at making a zero effect rest that will fit the icon and legacy with the roller guard. Is there anyone that has seen or heard of this modification and know when it will be available? Thanks.
I want a new drop away for my legacy and trophy taker shaky hunter is going to be the one if muzzy doesn't have the zero effect modification available. Any thoughts and/or recommendations for the TT on the Legacy. I see that there is a short bar set up available. Which is best for the legacy? Thanks again for the help. This message board has been a great source of very helpful information.

MJR10 - I would take a real good look at the Mirage by Golden Key. It is a super rest that has no problems working on the Legacy. It is also a lot cheaper and works great. As always the warranty is as good as they come and Golden Key will answer any questions you might have about the rest. It sells for $59.99 at www.basspro.com

Did I mention it dosn't require you to watch a video just to learn how to put the dang thing on your bow. to me all that extram stuff & the bulky nature of the thing is a turn off <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Matt: If your looking to get turned on, either get married or find ya a girl freind. If your looking for the best fall away rest out there hands down, wait for the MZE. About the only reason I haven't traded in the old MQ1 for a new legacy is, I'm not giving up my Zero Effect for no bow! Including a "How To" video on the installation, only proves how much the people at Muzzy care that your comfortable with your installation and their rest. It would not take a rocket scientist to install this rest from the instructions.

Amen, nub! The ZE only LOOKS complicated. Once you put it on, you realize just how simple it really is. The way I look at it, I would like to see some of these other spring-actuated drop-aways provide some clips of their rest working on slow motion video. I just doubt that they "get out of the way" as fast as the ZE does.
MJR10, I have held a bow that had a prototype of the ZE on it. Eric Stringer, who works for Muz (and evidently has a lot to do with the production/design of the ZE) was demo-ing it at an Expo in B'ham, AL back in July.
The design involves removing one of the roller pulleys that comes on the bow, and replacing it with a pulley designed by Muzzy, which has a little arm extension that actuates the rest.

Thanks for the info guys. I will probably wait and at least take a look at the muzzy before I make the decision. Then again if it comes on the market at $150 it will not be a tough decision. I can't see any rest being worth that. Thanks.
