I think both of ya'll make excellent points.Some folks get set on how much weight they pull,how long of and arrow and tip weight to use,then just try and compensate by moving the arrow rest with no regrad to wether the spine is close.I think that if you are having to make major adjustments to your arrow rest then that should throw up a red flag.

I don't see a problem making small adjustments if the spine is really close.One thing you have to rember is that adding the weight of fletching and the drag does effect the spine.One more note on bareshafting.I prefer to use the grouping method versus the look at the shaft in the target thing.
