My Elk Hunt With 90Gr. Muzzy
Just got back from my 8 day Colorado Elk hunt. Had a great trip and the good fortune to take a 4 X 3 bull last Thursday.
Shot this bull @ 26 yards using a 90Gr. 4 blade Muzzy with a complete pass through. Nicked a rib going in and broke a rib coming out, shooting a 415Gr. ICS 340, @ 68Lbs.
I was hunting with my wife and we did have a considerable job getting it out with the weather so hot.
My wife called this bull in for me and helped me pack meat out, you can't find a better woman than that.
If you are just not sure what head to shoot "SHOOT MUZZY"
Good luck to all this season,

RE: My Elk Hunt With 90Gr. Muzzy
dsheally,
My Ultra-Tec @ 29" draw is shooting 267fps, I have the xt3000 limbs on my bow and it is not as fast as the bows with the xt2000 limbs but I wanted the higher brace height the 3000 limbs give (don't like to use an arm guard).
I had some concerns about the 1" cut on the 90gr. heads before my hunt, but they shot and grouped so good I just had to go with them.
My wife is the best hunting partner I have ever had. She took 2 bucks and 1 doe with a bow last year, and 2 turkeys this spring with her shot gun. Sure makes being gone hunting a lot better when the wife is not waiting at home.
Thanks,
365MAG
