RE: How many still shoot with fingers?
I just bought a Reflex Grizzly which is 38". I plan on trying it without a release. If I can't get decent results then I will switch to a release.

RE: How many still shoot with fingers?
i switched from a release to fingers this past season and am glad i did. (i took my first deer shooting fingers this season! ) i currently shoot a 34" ata bow. i didn't buy a bow when i made the switch, i just made due with my current bow. i haven't had any problems shooting the shorter ata, but with my next bow purchase i will probably buy a longer ata (~40") bow.

RE: How many still shoot with fingers?
Been shootin fingers for over 20 years now, tried to switch over to a release a couple of times but it just doesn't work for me. Last year I was shootin a Darton Avalanche Extreme ( 34 3/8 ata ) and this year I'll be trying out a new 60# Newberry LB1 (37 1/2 ata ) , should arrive any day now. . For a rest of the set-up.... Cavalier Free flyte Elite with master loc plunger , Spot Hogg (real deal), Easton XX75 2315.

RE: How many still shoot with fingers?
I've been shooting fingers for 20 years or so. I bought a new Mathews Conquest 2 a few years ago. I think it's 41". It was the longest I could find (within reason). I love the bow, but am not happy with my rest (coiled springy type). Been frustrated to the point of contemplating a release. What's a forgiving rest for fingers?

Been shooting a release for about the last 12 years but fingers are back on the horizon.....I am looking to start shooting a recurve this year and hunt with it.
