I just got my Mirage drop away in the mail...going to put it on today....I don't know whether I am going to like all of the moving parts though - that makes me nervous...

Are they noisy - I am surprised there isn't any teflon on the portion that touches the arrow..sure hope I like it -

I do like it - within 20 arrows I am drilling them into the bull with excellant consistency...so far so good - - I did find the rubber that goes over the wire rest, still not comfortable with the moving parts, but the rest sure stopped my fletching from hitting...guess the bodoodle goes to the boy now!

I switched to a GKF Mirage for tuning ease, loss of fletch contact with 5" helical vanes on carbons, and arrow holding ability. I've found that the arrow holder peice included (the plastic on for the riser shelf, not the scoop) causes noise as it wears down, so I just used mole skin on the whole shelf.. No noise on the draw at all. I also like the built in over draw - I only have to shoot 30" arrows instead of 32".

Okay - so I figured I better shoot my hunting arrows, which I just fletched up right helical (other arrows were straight with 2 deg offset) and the fletching is hitting big time on the wire rest (I put the rubber over it and you can see that it is hitting) and the vanes are stretching and curling on me.

I was shooting cock down - and after playing with nock rotation I got them mostly clearing the rest...I played with tension on the spring to the cable guard...

I am one week from leaving for my elk hunt - any advise would be appreciated -
