Adjusting Arrow Rest

Adjusting Arrow Rest
I understand how to, and what does, moving the rest left and right do. But what about the spring tension on a Quick Tune? I'm beginning to tinker with my bow and see some improvement. So, how do I know if the tension is right? Is there a rule of thumb for setting it, or at least a starting point? What is a good book that explains tuning? Thanks.

RE: Adjusting Arrow Rest
Check out www.newarchery.com for the tuning guide there. If you have any questions about the Quik Tune rests that the guide doesn't cover, then you can email their tech department. I own a Quik Tune 1000 and have done this twice and both times I have had a reply within 48 hours. Very good service, IMO.
Short answer: You just want enough tension on your rest to hold the arrow up at full draw.
Another tuning guide is available for download at www.eastonarchery.com and it covers many topics. Also, Larry Wise has a few good books in print including Tuning and Silencing Your Bowhunting Shooting System.
